Holiday Property in Burton Ferry

Customer Reviews of Sunnyhill

Had a very active weeks stay here in Pembrokeshire, clocked up around 175 miles on our bikes, getting lost here and there but also finding little places maybe we wouldn't have seen. Its been very hot most days so we have been very lucky. Had quite a few BBQs soaking up the views from the garden. We had meals at the Jolly Sailor couldn't fault it, a good pub if you have children. The Ferry Inn across the water is lovely and quaint the food and service was brill. Anne and Roy were helpful and kind they gave us information on bike trails and place to go. No place is too far away on bike trails and places to go. No place is too far away on the bike, the chalet is situated in the perfect place. We've loved every minute of it here the days have flown by already. I will highly recommend Sunnyhill to everyone. Thank you

A little piece of Heaven that is what we call it! The Cabin resting in the trees, the boats all bobbing in the breeze, the sun is shining all day long, oh we must come back before too long! thank you both so much for making our stay so welcoming and comfortable. You have created a little piece of perfection. The kind of holiday accommodation we have been searching for. You seem to have put everything into this that your would require yourselves on holiday. Many thanks again.

Another visit to this lovely chalet. The weather has been variable - a bit of everything but the chalet has been a warm and comfortable place to which to return. again, many thanks to Roy and Anne. I hope to see you again next year.

What an amazing week! Fantastic weather meant we had long days out, but everything is so accessible from here. Beaches (Freshwater East and West, West Angle Bay and Tenby), boat trip to Skomer Island, Pembroke Castle , St Davids, Fishguard, Folly Farm. A brilliant week had by all. Anne and Ray are brilliant hosts and have a wealth of knowledge on Pembrokeshire. The chalet is brilliant and has everything you need. A personal favourite has been sitting in the garden & veranda in the evenings-so relaxing. We will most definitely be back.

Thank you for providing such a lovely chalet, in which we have had a great few days the scenery is breathtaking, and was surpassed only by the warm welcome by Ray and Ann. The Welshcakes, coffee, tea and wine were very welcome. We hope to visit again either as a family or for a romantic retreat!!

Alex and Hollie Rolland

Thank you for being such incredible hosts. The gorgeous chalet served as a superb base for exploring all of the wonderful castles and beaches Pembrokeshire has to offer. We had unbelievably good weather and that added an extra shine on the week. Thank you again-We hope to be back!

Our third visit - this is almost like a second home for us! The weather was 'interesting', but we managed several walks. The high spot was seeing two otters and Bosherston Lily Ponds. The chalet was a warm and comfortable place to return to each evening. Thank you to Roy and Anne, we hope to return again.

Daniel & Sharma

Thanks Anne and Roy, we've found a little piece of perfection for our weekend away. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Our second visit to this lovely, cosy chalet. We discovered new places - St Davids, Newgale (stunning beach), Bosherston Lily POnds, St Govans chapel and Marloes. The latter was the high spot as we saw a pair of choughs, wild ponies and seals with their pups. We hope to be back in the Spring! Many thanks.

A most enjoyable week, very peaceful with lovely views. The chalet is very well equipped. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. We have felt very much at home here. We chose this place because of its closeness to the water. We hope to visit Wales again soon!

Being holiday home owners ourselves, we know what the standards authorities require, and Sunnyhill chalet must be a pleasure for them to inspect! I can't honestly think of any improvements that could be made - in fact we picked up a few ideas for our cottage!! Thanks Anne & Roy for an excellent week, we've now got our base for future visits to see the Puffins at Skomer!

The Meade Family

We've had a wonderful week at Sunnyhill. Our favourite pastime were the peaceful walks up and down the beach looking for crabs and oysters (found the biggest oyster we've ever seen!). The girls loved the garden and the swing. We hope to return. Thank you Anne and Roy for your hospitality and wonderful break.

The Lum Family

Thank you for a cosy, well equipped chalet and lots of little extras - it was a bonus to find a poaching pan! We loved the private location and close proximity to so many attractions. Thank you Anne and Roy or all your tips and suggestions - we hope to return soon.

The Wallace Family

Thank you for making us feel very welcome at your lodge and for the wine, coffee and milk. This week has flown by, but we have enjoyed our stay. Sunnyhill is well situated for going in either direction. Would like to come again and stay. Sammual enjoyed crabbing from the pontoon - he caught 70!

Mr & Mrs Bennett

A super holiday - peaceful and relaxing. A comfortable base to enjoy the delights of Pembrokeshire. Lovely, helpful (but discreet) owners! Thank you!

The chalet at Sunnyhill is like a second home to us and nothing is too much trouble for the owners. We thoroughly enjoyed the outings we had and the weather was very good to us. Our sincere thanks for everything.

Our fourth visit to this lovely chalet. We feel that we have been very fortunate to have had five dry days with plenty of sun! We have revisited a few favourite haunts and discovered some new walks. In particular, we enjoyed a circular walk at Dale peninsula ending with a drink at the Griffin Inn! Many thanks again to Roy and Anne, we hope to return next year!

The Shakir Family

We've had a lovely stay at the chalet. Its very cosy with beautiful views. The beds are very comfy too! We've been very lucky with the weather so have had some lovely days out but then enjoyed returning to chalet at the end of the day! The kids also enjoyed playing in the garden. My parents live locally so both them and us will be recommending this place to others! Thank you!

Georgia & Sion

We've had a lovely time in the chalet, spent the weekend relaxing and enjoying the area with a trip to Freshwater West and St Davids. The chalet is perfect, a home away from home! Really hope to visit Sunnyhill again. Many thanks.

Another very relaxing holiday of Sunnyhill - we hope to be back next year!

Shirley & Sandy

The cottage was cosy and “home from home” with all amenities provided. Enjoyed visiting the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline. Now off home with our River Cleddau sloes to make sloe gin for Christmas – a reminder of our relaxing break and beautiful scenery over the river.

Hannah & Nirpal

Lovely little chalet with a warm welcome. Favourite beach – Manobier, faveouriste walk – Marloes and St. Brides.

The Garland Family

A lovely holiday. The chalet is great and the warm welcome was a bonus! Lots of great places to visit – favourite was Newgale beach for surfing and kite flying.

Blessed with amazing weather all week has made this holiday even better than we could have imagined. Excellent spot to visit the Pembrokeshire coastline and a lovely relaxing chalet to come back to at the end of a days walking.

Paul & Sam

Well done on achieving a most beautiful and tranquil holiday setting. What more could anyone ask for.

The Platows

Our first visit and we have really enjoyed our stay, lovely sights and places to visit, we will certainly come back again. The chalet had everything you could need from home to home.

The Porters

We’ve had a wonderful week’s holiday; great weather; kids loved the log cabin. This is a great area – so much to see. Highlights include the coastal path at St. Anne’s Head and Solva, surfing at Newgale, fantastic food at Stackpole Quay and historic St. Davids. We loved the view from the living room window. Wish we could stay longer.

The Linkmans

A very enjoyable stay – wonderful chalet with a great view and even the weather was kind. The coastline is fantastic and quite dramatic – great view of a family of peregrines over Marloes beach. Still so much to discover, sure this won’t be our last visit.

David and Brenda

Almost a whole week of sunshine allowing us to walk from Sandy Haven to West Angle Bay (29 miles). After 14 years we only have 35 miles of the Coastal Path left to do. We could not have chosen a better spot to achieve what we did.
